The Chairman's Corner

Happy Mother’s Day from the N.C. Tenth Congressional District!

Last weekend, we proudly celebrated the women who shape our families, strengthen our values, and guide the next generation with wisdom and love—our incredible mothers.

Mothers are the quiet leaders behind strong homes, strong communities, and a strong America. Their influence is lasting, their love is unwavering, and their sacrifice is immeasurable.

As Republicans, we believe in honoring family, faith, and freedom—and no one represents those values better than Mom.

To all the mothers, grandmothers, and mother figures across the Tenth District: thank you. Your strength, compassion, and dedication are the foundation of everything we hold dear.

Wishing you a joyful and blessed Mother’s Day.

News across the District

Catawba County ~ About 200 residents showed up at the Newton City Council meeting, last week, to express their concerns about an LGBTQ event scheduled for June sponsored by Catawba Valley Pride entitled “2025 Newton Pride Takeover.”

The citizens expressed their concerns about what the young people might be exposed to during the event. The most vocal opponent against the event is Newton City Council member Jon McClure.

The meeting was relatively peaceful. And members of Catawba Valley Pride agreed to hold their event on private property.

Forsyth County ~ State Auditor Dave Boliek has announced is intention to audit the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools after reports that the school system is over $16 million over budget.

Forsyth County School superintendent Tricia McManus announced her retirement, at the end of the school year, and Chief Financial Officer Thomas Kranz has resigned.

Closing message from the chairman…

Loyalty, Duty, Integrity, Honor, Respect, and Selfless Service. The 10th Congressional District is full of wonderful, amazing people. I am so glad my wife and I can call you friends.

We began the week: Supporting the great Republicans in Newton, and supporting the Fraternal order of Police Memorial.

Friends, we live in a rich red district with many like-minded people. Ones who believe in life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Additionally, we believe in Loyalty, Duty, Integrity, and Selfless service.

We must win in 2026 and 2028, and to accomplish this the Tenth District must bring even more Registered Republicans to the voting booth in the coming years.

During the Central Committee meeting this past Saturday I challenged the rest of the State of North Carolina. The Tenth District will bring in more new registered voters to the Republican party than any other District in North Carolina.

We will win this challenge and in turn we will win in the upcoming elections.
